Natural Hair Care Tips

Hair Care Tips That Work

Hair Care Tips

Hair can become damaged rather quickly even if you think you are taking proper care of it. Many times people utilize hair care products and think that they are adding moisture, volume, or protecting their hair from damaging heat – when this is not always the case. Humidity is damaging, as well as over moisturizing, curling/blow drying, etc. Here are some great hair care tips to consider if you would like to keep your locks from becoming damaged and dull.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Did you know that apple cider vinegar is great for hair care? If you are looking for a bounce like no other, simply adding a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water (1 to 1 mixture) and rinsing after five minutes will do the trick – naturally.

Baking Soda

A baking soda treatment is a natural way to remove excess hair care products and shampoo! Many people tend to use entirely way too much shampoo on their hair, which is very damaging to the scalp and root system. Incorporating 3 tablespoons of baking soda mixed with a little water is an awesome rinse to prevent this from occurring. For the best results – leave the mixture on for about five minutes before rinsing, you will quickly notice the difference.

Olive Oil

Not only great for your skin, olive oil works wonders on your hair as well. Never mind the fact that it adds a shine that people would pay a lot of money for. Mixing a little olive oil with some honey is not only inexpensive, it adds a conditioning and protective coat to your hair that last for days! After about a couple hours, shampoo your hair to remove the excess oil.

Avoiding Hot Water

Of course, no one wants to take a cold shower, but hot water is drying to the skin and scalp. After shampooing, try to avoid having the hot water beating on your head for a long time. If at all possible, condition and then rinse your hair with cool water (as cool as you can take,) it will lock in the moisture.

There are many other natural remedies that can change the look and feel of your hair, and remember – it doesn’t have to cost you a ton of money!
