A Look at the Groom’s Lounge: Charleston’s Best Haberdash

There are a lot of important people at a wedding. Of course, there is the bride and groom, but there’s also the bride’s maid and groom’s men. Ensuring their happiness and satisfaction is essential to success. A disgruntled best man could sour the mood for everyone.

For this reason, it is important to properly consider the proper wedding preparations for men and women alike. One of the ways to make sure that everyone is prepared before the ceremony is to rent a Haberdash like the Groom’s Lounge for the groom’s men and employ the services of Lashes and Lace for the bride’s maids.

Chances are the Groom’s Lounge and Lashes and Lace is a couple you want to attend on your wedding day. Both will be there to support the bride, groom, bride’s maids, and groom’s men prepare for the wedding.

What is a Haberdash?

A Haberdash is essentially a lounge for the groom and the groom’s men where they can prepare for the wedding. It is almost like a Groom Wedding Lounge in which the groom is able to relax with his friends before he takes his final vows. Some Haberdashes take the idea of wedding preparations very seriously and offer little more than a few couches, showers, and soap. Others offer other amenities.

The Groom’s Lounge

At the Groom’s Lounge in Charleston, however, we believe that wedding preparations for men require a great deal more consideration. There are three different packages available at the Groom’s Lounge:

  1. The Knob Creek package which costs $75 per person includes dressing areas; showers; complimentary beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; a catered lunch; an array of entertainment systems and games; and tie and suit steaming services

  2. The Old Forester package which costs $100 per person and includes a cigar bar and the choice between a Bloody Mary or Bourbon bar in addition to everything else included in the Knob Creek package

  3. The Pappy Van Winkle package which costs $150 and includes both a Bloody Mary and Bourbon Bar as well as transportation to and from the Groom’s Lounge to the venue (limited to a ten mile radius) and photos.

They also have the tools and designer makeups that many women lack. Going with a professional is always a good choice, but it can be costly. It can also be fun to do your own makeup. If the bride choose to do so, these things should be kept in mind.

Renting the Groom’s Lounge

The Groom’s Lounge is available for rental during wedding season and off-season. Wedding season includes the months March through November while off Season includes January through December. The minimum number of people that must be booked for a rental during wedding season is 10. However, if the Haberdash is rented off season only a minimum of 6 persons must attend.

Each rental is for a three hour period. On the weekend (Friday through Sunday), there are only two three-hour slots available: from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 1:00 to 4:00. However, the Groom’s Lounge can be rented for any three-hour range from Monday through Thursday.

Don’t Miss Out!

The Groom’s Lounge is in high demand. It can often be rented out for months at a time. It’s best to ensure that you attempt to reserve the Groom’s Lounge long before the actual wedding day.
