5 Tips For Beautiful Skin On Your Wedding Day

At Lashes & Lace Charleston, we want all of our brides to look as beautiful as possible on their wedding day. It's important to plan out your beauty routines a few months before to make sure your skin is happy and healthy. Follow these five simple tips for supple skin!

Pamper Yourself, But Not The Day Before

On your wedding day you should feel beautiful and pampered in every way, but there are some professional beauty treatments that should be planned out way before your big day. Waxing, facials, and even laser treatments or botox can cause redness, swelling, bruising, and irritation.

If you're thinking about treatments that may cause irritation (or even if you aren't sure if they cause irritation), talk with our bridal beauty experts and schedule your wax or facial at our Charleston studio, in the perfect time to look your best on your big day.

Water, Water, Water

Drinking enough water is essential to gorgeous, supple skin. By drinking a minimum of 8 ounces of water a day, beginning three to four months before your wedding day, you can be sure your skin will be moisturized from the inside out helping you look your best.

Aren't sure how much you should drink? Check out the Mayo Clinic for optimal fluid intake guidelines.

Tanning

Getting the perfect tan is also on many of our Charleston bride's wish lists. At Lashes & Lace, we offer airbrush spray tans for our brides. Our technicians will help you create a tanning schedule to get the perfect color for your wedding day.

If you just need one full body spray tan, we recommend getting it a few days to a week before your wedding (after a trial run a few months before to ensure the color is perfect).

Bridal Makeup Trial Run

One of the most important parts of our services is a trial run for your bridal makeup. We want to make sure we understand your beauty needs and how you'd like to look. It's also important to know how your skin reacts to the makeup.

Moisturize

A moisturizing routine, like water, is also one of the key parts to overall healthy skin. Starting three to four months before your wedding, we recommend starting a moisturizing routine.

Most routines include wearing a daily moisturizer with at least SPF 15 every day and a night cream every night. If you need recommendations on what moisturizers will work best for your skin type, talk with our makeup experts.
