I would like bright makeup without highlight or heavy eye makeup

When I have had my makeup professionally done, they tend to use too much highlighter and too much eyeliner. I would rather just use eye shadow to accentuate my eyes and no highlighter on my cheeks. I also have very dark eyebrows, so I don't need a ton of eye brow filler. Normally, a tinted gel for my eyebrows works very well.
